Free Tip on Feng Shui and Essential Oils!

Some of you may or may not know that smells do have an Feng Shui element attached to them and their overall purpose. I love using essential oils in a space to promote healing and/or balance. I have had a few clients whom have recently ordered these top 3 Zen Inspired Diffusers. I have heard back from my clients that they have really enjoyed them and the the design of these fun Zen themes.

This is one of my clients images of a product called the
Spa  Room Essential Oil Diffuser Ultrasonic Porcelain Buddha Zen Mister for Aromatherapy with an Electric Shut-off“.
My client is  still loving this ZEN Inspired Essential Oil Diffuser after 3 months of use so I wanted to share this post as it is also a Great Gift idea!

Hey, if your going to have a Essential Oil Diffuser in your space why not look for a diffuser in a style that YOU really love too as there are a ton of generic ones out there!  This one has a nice calming, ZEN Feel, Ambient Glow and the diffusing essential oil steam is released from the top. Some clients have placed this in their bedrooms to diffuse Lavender to promote better rest,  while other enjoy it most placed near their front door entrance to promote the mood they most wish to experience at different events or times. Essential oils  are used for different purposes and can be introduced to bring in more calm to an area or bring in a bit  more PEP to your STEP depending on what you are needing during different events.

So how does Feng Shui and essential oils related to the 5 elements? When using essentials oils in a space many scents are related to the 5 elements in Feng Shui and can be used accordingly to balance the elements within an environment. Here is just a few examples of scents and how they can relate to the 5 elements in Feng Shui.

Water‘s Smell is ethereal and gentle, such as a Banana.
Wood‘s Smell is fresh and of newness, such as Rosemary or Peppermint.
Fire‘s Smell causes a reaction, such as Spicy Scents, Cayenne, Cinnamon, or Lemon.
Metal  Smells Acrid or Metallic in nature.
Earth‘s Smell is of Soil or Musk.

Essential Oils are used worldwide to promote better rest, healing and balance of many different aliments. Here is a Affordable and Popular Selling Essential Oil Package to get you started. Cat owners please note you especially have to be careful using certain essential oils around cats in particular as they lack the essential liver enzymes needed to properly metabolize certain essential oils. There are significant variations in toxicity among specific oils around cats. Based on this, I would not recommend using essential oils in areas where your cats have access, unless pets are supervised or the use of the oil is approved by your veterinarian.

There are ofcourse many store bought fragrance sprays that have been shown to contain toxic chemicals on their ingredients list. In the end users of any  type of product should know cats in particular seem to have the worse reactions around certain types of scents and essential oils because of them lacking an essential liver enzyme to metabolize them properly and many vets seem to agree on this fact. Research articles have stated specifically for cats it is maybe best to stay away from essential oils that are high in phenols or ketones such as (basil, birch, cinnamon, clove, fennel, melaleuca, nutmeg, oregano, peppermint, thyme, rosemary, spearmint, and wintergreen.) Cats are also sensitive to d-limonene containing oils (bergamot, dill, grapefruit, lemon, lime, orange, and tangerine).

My belief is if you use any type of store bought fragrance daily or are using essential oils often and are seeing a adverse reactions in any animal in your house during those times used I feel the adverse reaction in and of itself warrants enough evidence that the product might not be best used around your household animal.

Essential oils can be used in many ways. Do the research and talk to your vet and learn how to properly use essential oils in safe ways  for yourself around any type of household animal.
